Copperwheat Cats offers a safe and peaceful environment for your cat while you are away from home.
Set in a delightful rural location on the Cambridgeshire/ Bedfordshire border, we are within easy access from the A1 , A421 and A428, only 10-15 minutes from Bedford, St Neots, Biggleswade, Sandy and the surrounding villages.
Our spacious cat units are purpose built and managed to the very highest Feline Advisory Bureau and Licensing Authority specifications. The cattery is located in its own private, well planted quarter-acre garden which is full of mature shrubs and trees encouraging a wealth of wild life to keep our guests entertained.
You can be assured your cat will receive the best personal care possible during its stay with us. We pride ourselves on getting to know each of our visitors individually, allowing us to respond in every way practicable to their individual personalities and needs.
Our intention is to make your cat’s stay with us as comfortable as possible so that you may relax and enjoy your holiday with peace of mind that your cat is in safe hands.
Our cat units are spacious with full height housing and covered individual outside runs. All our units are double-sized with plenty of space for two cats to exercise, relax or play. For one cat ........ all that extra space to itself!
Each house is fully insulated, with heating available when required. Individual thermostats and froststats in each run control the temperature according to your cat’s personal needs
Inside, we provide beds and cushions , although if you wish you may of course bring your cat's own bed. There is also an interior sun shelf for those cats who like to sit looking out of the window over our lovely gardens.
Large individual runs give your cat plenty of space to exercise and play. Outside each covered run has a chair, a tree branch for climbing or scratching, a low stool and a sun shelf where your cat may relax and enjoy the view. There are a selection of toys in each run, although you are very welcome to bring your cat's favourite toys, scratch post etc.
Each run is separated from its neighbour by a full 24 inch corridor to minimise the risk of infection and to ensure your cat is not disturbed by its neighbour.
We provide a selection of quality wet and dry cat foods but will happily cater for your cat’s special diet if required. Our dedicated cattery kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer and microwave.
For your cat’s protection, a current vetinerary certificate of vaccination is required without exception. We reserve the right to refuse admission if this is not available. We ask that all our visitors have been recently and regularly wormed and flea treated.
In return we promise to use the most modern methods of hygiene to protect your cat’s well being.

We encourage you to visit to inspect before booking your cat in for a stay with us—you will be very welcome.
